The Intermediate Archery Course is designed for the graduates of the Beginner Archery Course who want to learn more about archery, specifically Bare Bow Archery. Read the comparsion of archery styles in the FAQ's.
Ages
Archers entering this course should be 13 years old.
Equipment
Each student must have:
- A takedown bow
- Quiver
- Arm protection
- Finger tab or shooting glove
Additional costs will be charged on the basis of costs of parts required for the course. These parts include bow square, string wax, nocks and nocking pliers and 6 carbon arrow shafts (600 spine without fletching).
Content
This course will focus on tuning the equipment and the archer including these topics:
- Olympic style anchoring
- Defining posture and arm positioning
- Focus on back muscle for drawing the bow
- Brace height considerations
- Building arrows
- Arrow tuning including paper and bare arrow tuning
- Use of a counter weight
- Arrow rests and plunger adjustments are discussed
